Engineers Week student competition photo album. About 200 K-12 students compete at the UAA School of Engineering in a fun-filled day of events.

 

 

More than 200 K-12 students participate in the 2008 National Engineers Week competition held at the University of Alaska Anchorage School of Engineering on February 23, 2008 for the Anchorage area and Southcentral Alaska schools. Events shown are the Egg Drop, Shake & Break, Paper Airplane, Floatable Moatable, and Awards Ceremony with donation from The Bristol Alliance of Companies (very shortened to fit on YouTube).

FIRST LEGO League Robotics competition on the UAA campus held January 12, 2008. More than 400 students ages 9-14 participtated from around Alaska including Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Cordova, Palmer, Bethel, Soldotna, Nikiski, Homer, and Kodiak. The Northwest FIRST LEGO Director opens the competition emphasizing the need for more engineers.
